After my post this morning urging everyone to vote, and vote correctly, I was asked, “What about the Constitutional Amendments?” I am always discouraged when I see that once again we have constitutional amendments to consider and they always seem to be way too complicated.
I don’t think our State Constitution should be so detailed that it has to be amended for every little change in circumstances, but we have what we have. There is an excellent source of unbiased information about the Amendments. The Public Affairs Research Council puts out an explanation of the amendments and the pro and con arguments. You can find it here.
I have reviewed the document and can tell you I intend to vote “yes” on all of the amendments. I am, however, open to arguments against any of them and will let you know if I change my mind. I would enjoy, I guess, receiving your comments and thoughts. Obviously, my opinion is important only to me and the persons who asked what I thought. For the rest of you, you know where your “delete” key is.
