If We Will Just Do Our Part

There is a division of labor in the Kingdom of Heaven. We cannot do what God does, and God will not do what we can do. We cannot save nor sanctify ourselves— God does that. But God will not give us good habits or character, and He will not force us to walk correctly before Him. We have to do all that ourselves.
Guess what: God always does His part. Us… not so much. We say we will “pray about it” or “do it when the time is right.” God’s instructions to us are clear enough. We need to make a move.
We had a great session of Fearless last night. Many of us who struggle with forgiveness were blessed. Many who struggle with it were not, because when God told them to be there, they were not.
God is prepared to totally equip us to be all that He would have us to be, for us to do all that He would have us do. If it’s not happening, it’s not Him.
There is always something God is telling us to do. There is always a next step in our walk with Him. Stop hesitating and take that step DO IT.
Don’t just decide to do it. Do it.
There is also division of labor within the body. There are specific things each of us are suppose to be doing. The problem is because some of us are hesitating, others are having to pick up the slack and things are being done imperfectly, not exactly as God would have them done. In some cases, we are insisting on doing things for which we are not called. The ones called to the tasks are ready, willing and able to do them, but we won’t let go. So again, things are being done imperfectly because they are being done by those not called to do them.
What is God telling you to do? That’s the question to ask. The question is not “What needs to be done?” When we focus on the needs, we get into that problem of the uncalled doing the work of the called. If we will focus on what God is telling us to do and DOING IT, and settng aside what we have been doing simply because it needs to be done, order will return to the Kingdom. Give it a try. God knows what He’s doing and what we should be doing, better than we do.
Just follow orders. Do your part and
Be blessed.
